Saw a new show tonight on Fox, "Oliver Beane".....setting is the late 50's/early 60's...the credit opening of the show includes use of what looks like someone's home movies...take a look at it next sunday night..the reds in the "home movie" part looked very saturated..exactly what you'd expect from Kodachrome...take a look next sunday night on Fox at 730pm central time...let me know if you think it's film, or just "doctored" video.

We also use super 8mm on our show Kcal 9 10am on sat. show called balance living I'm the DP and talk the show to use super 8 and also on BET thurs. 6.30am [img]cool.gif[/img] [img]cool.gif[/img] [img]cool.gif[/img] [img]cool.gif[/img]

That's very cool.
Do you run the super-8 camera at the same as the video camera?
I wonder if you are using the Super-8 footage for B-roll because your video camera is an ENG style of camera and the super-8 is more mobile...
Or are you using lightweight Video cameras and mobile Super-8 for optimal flexibility?
Do you mix the film stocks and who does your film transfer?
